This is a fairly recent occurrence but when running my Macbook off the battery, sometimes the internet just stops working. I am still connected to my network, however pages stop loading, I get disconnected from MSN, etc. If I close the lid and reopen it, then its fine for a little while until it happens again.

I took my MacBook into the Apple Store the other day to get the plastic changed, and now whats got even more strange is that normally when I close the lid it goes on standby straight away and the white LED starts blinking. Now the LED glows white (doesnt blink) and then when I open it the screen is black and takes a while to come back on. Also the brightness of the display changes by itself. Today when I turned the macbook on the brightness was turned all the way down.

Anyone had any similar experiences?

I have the same exact problem with my internet connectivity. When surfing the web, it just loses the connection. My wireless router is still connected to the macbook, the little radar thing that shows signal strength is still maxxed out, but the internet doesn't load. Usually if I turn the airport off, then restart the airport, the internet works again. Its weird, happens without warning. I know it's not the router, my wife's wireless hp still works when it happens, and the xbox 360 stoll works just fine. It's odd. The internet just stops loading web pages, kinda freezes up, then restarting the airport card does the trick and I am surfing the web again. Nice to know i am not alone. Anyone have any ideas?

I have the same problem with the internet. Shows full strength, but the pages either continue loading then stop, or say there is no connection. If I go to the airport and click on my connection, that will sometimes work. I know it's not the internet, because it happnes ALL THE TIME and my husband is using his iBook at the same time without any internet problems. My macbook is a Core Duo, 1.83 GHz, what are yours?
