Alright then. So .. My 6 months is officially up.

So .. 2 weeks ago. I went to the apple store to claim the warranty for my macbook. I have 2 cracks nearby my keyboard. So they have already ordered the parts and they have sent me a report. So.. Right now. I want to know whether my warranty would still be valid. Any idea?

hmmm i was quizzed on this...i believe you have apple warranty for 1 year which is free with the purchase of any apple computer (hint: you also get a 1 year warranty for any purchases you make...or claim to have made *60% sure* with your computer) the accessory might have to be wireless or something, so dont quote me on it. But yea, you get 1 year apple warranty and then, if you purchase apple care anytime in that first year, your warranty is extended to 3 years. 1 year apple warranty + 2 years apple care = 3 years of free warrant-able repairs

are cracks on keyboard covered? Wouldn't that be accidental, not covered?

You have one year of free warranty. I just got the same problem fixed on my Macbook a couple of weeks ago. The rep at the Genius Bar told me that it would be fixed free of charge even without my warranty too.

no, the cracks are fairly common, and are replaced free as part of quality control, not sure where they come from, i blame the magnet in the lid, and poor quality plastic.
