I am about to go to university and am wondering whether it is beneficial to upgrade from a MacBook to MacBook Pro. Do Apple do any sort of trade-in option?

The specs of my current MacBook are:
1.83GHZ
1.25GB RAM
60GB
White

Any help // advice would be appreciated!

Thankyou

I think within something like the first 14 days you can go to an Apple store and say 'hey can i trade dis for a shiney new MACK BUCK PROE?' and they will say 'ya shure'

but unfortunately i believe you can had it for a while? So, no :(

Also, if you still wanna know if its beneficial to upgrade, we'll need to know what you use it for.

I've had it for 10 months.. still within warranty? Don't suppose that makes a difference does it? Well... I use my MacBook for music, photos, all my work, running movies.. quite alot of stuff basically. Also, the palmrest on my current model is discoloured.. if I get Apple to replace that while it is still under warranty, will it just discolour again or will they fix the problem?

I don't think they will let you replace it just because of a little discolourment (you spell it with a U? YEY, YOU ARE ENGLISH TOO :p) and by the sound of it I don't really think a Pro will benefit you that much.

Also, ya, 10 months is too long for trading in.

When I rang Apple a few months ago they said they would replace the palmrest free of charge if it was within it's one year warranty.. rather good of them. I think perhaps just a memory upgrade might be required for my MacBook instead of buying a new one! And an external hard drive could be the answer for added storage. And yes! I am English haha. How our language has been corrupted by the Americans.....

I suggest a war on America! We discuss the plans at the secret meeting place all English people know of...

Anyways, YAR! I believe it is possible to upgrade the internal hard drive on MacBooks as well, so you may wish to do that. Ooh! Clicky here!

That video is in the battery bay. So yar, you may want to do that instead of getting an external...OR NOT! You have the choice...You have the power to decide for yourself...nah, you don't really.
