I bought my macbook air in the states, I now use it UK. How do I make it realise this and start assuming it. For example, when I log into google maps it automatically goes to the states, also if I search using the google task bar then it will automatically show US results over the UK ones and the itunes is the us one as well. Can I do anything about this? any settings?

Go to system preferences > international

Click on the formats tab and select United Kingdom from the REgion menu

On the input menu select British as the keyboard format (you might want to untick USA)

Go to system preferences > Date and Time

Select London as your closest City (or Cardiff) and you will be using GMT time
