Macbook promotion

I am a soon-to-be college student, and I am in the process of picking a laptop.

Since windows was giving me a hard time, I've decided to try a mac this time.
My mom said she can buy a macbook on March, but I decided to hold it off for 2 reasons.

1) Apple tends to upgrade their white macbooks during the mid-years.

2) Apple has their "buy a mac and get a free Ipod touch promotion".

So do you think Apple will do the same promotion this year? If not, I'll just end up buying a white macbook on March.

The promotion works like this.
-you purchase the Mac
-you purchase the iPod touch
-you submit a rebate form by April 29 2010

There is always a chance that they will have a similar promotion, but that's just speculation.
The core i7 is rumored to be out at the end of the year, in the MacBook and MacBook Pros. So, if you are in no rush, I think I would be waiting, but in saying that, there is always something bigger and better around every corner and if we spend all our time waiting, nothing happens.
