I recently purchased a MacBook Pro (2009, I believe) from an aquantance for rent money. The laptop itself only has a few small scratches, but the battery will not take a charge, and I need a new one.

The other main issue is that the Mousepad click buttons do not work. They do click, and they do move up and down, but no actual clicking happens on the screen. Is there any way to fix this?

I also am wondering what a decent price to value this laptop at would be? Both repaired (new battery/button fixed), and in its current state. It's a 15 Inch with 2.4GHz 2GB 256MBA. I appreciate the help, thanks!

Yea I've heard that, but even when I remove the battery, it still doesn't work. Like the buttons completely click and such but dont actually work on the screen

I would at least get an estimate for battery and trackpad fix.
