Hi:
I have just purchased a new MacBook Pro and want to prep my old MacBook Pro so I can sell it. I did upgrade the SSD to a Samsung EVO 860 a couple years ago, and this drive has worked perfectly.
However when I go to the MacOS Disk Utility to erase the drive, the process fails. I selected untitled as the name, APFS and GUID Partition Map. It seems to fail when trying to unmount the drive, it says can't open the device.
So I thought of just re-installing Catalina, that went fine but all my old info etc is still present.
Has anyone had a tried and true method of erasing the drive and re-installing a fresh copy of Catalina.
