MacBook Pro keyboard

Hi all,
I've noticed recently that my MacBook's keyboard won't work to enter e-mail addresses, user names, passwords, etc. on log-in pages from various sites. Really annoying! Just wondering if anyone else has the same problem and if there are any suggestions for trying to fix this.

15" MBP '06 2.33 C2D 4GB 10.7; 13" MBA '14 1.8 i7 8GB 10.11; 21" iMac '13 2.9 i5 8GB 10.11; 6S
Did you grab your mouse/trackpad and move the cursor and click inside the box to place the cursor?

I've found a few sites that do not auto place the cursor in the login box - so if you start typing nothing happens.
