Hello fellow members,

I have a MacBook Pro i7 that has windows and apple operating system using Bootcamp.

I would like to upgrade the hard drive to a 1TB..

I've got the hard drive but just wondering what the best way is to create a copy of my existing hard drive to copy on to the new 1TB hard drive.

Thanks

Copying the OS X partition, not a problem. You can use Time Machine, Super Duper, Carbon Copy Cloner, ChronoSync and probably one of a half-dozen others.

The Windows partition will need to be cloned to a Windows-formatted external using WinClone or something like that, and then recreated in a new Bootcamp setup. Should be fairly painless but definitely more work than just having an OS X partition alone.
