I've been experiencing some system degradation lately, so I ran disk utility. Utility said I needed to repair my disk but I had to start up my computer with another disk (like the instal disk) and then use disk utility to repair the hard drive disk. I'm running Snow Leopard and have the installation disk. What I need to find out is how do I start up my computer with the installation disk? Is it as simple as turning off the computer, inserting the installation disk and then turning on the computer OR do I insert the installation disk while running and reboot? (or some other approach?)
Thanks for your help!
