Macbook pro cant find ipod

Plugged my ipod into my pro this morning and it doesn't show up on itunes or the desktop help pls?

Tried changing ports and cables? Have you done a reboot on the iPod (you didn't mention which flavor of iPod it is, I can give you instructions if you need them, but I need to know this).

its a 80g classic i have used different cords and switched ports. reset my ipod many times but still nothing.

its a 80g classic i have used different cords and switched ports. reset my ipod many times but still nothing.

Press and hold the middle button and the menu button at the same time. Continue holding for about 30 seconds (the screen will go black and it will reset). Once it boots back up, try plugging it in again.

Also, to rule out your USB ports, attach a USB device of some sort, aside from the iPod, and see if it works.
