I ended up with an early 2010 Macbook Pro with a dead display after some moisture got into it and the display was opened before I could get the battery out of it. I have in my office connected to a display and would like to use it as a server for my other Macbook Pro.
Is it possible to connect the usb powered backup drive to the office Pro and have my fully functioning laptop pro find it for backing up my hard drive through my home network? I used to do this with my Win machines, but I knew a lot about the Win O/S
