Hey everyone,
Strange problem here. I have a Belkin 54g wireless router and a 12" PowerBook and new MacBook Pro. I use WPA encryption and I hide the SSID of my router. On the PowerBook, I connect, and say make my home wireless a preferred network. When I reboot, it reconnects no problem.
However on the MacBook, I connect no problems, but when I reboot the machine, it doesn't work when it comes back. The strange thing is that it shows AirPort is conneted to my home network and has full signal strength as well, but Safari and other Apps say you are not connected to the Internet. I then I have to click the AirPort icon, click other, type the name of my network manually, select WPA and enter my key and hit okay. It then instantly conncts. As soon as I reboot, it does the same thing. It doesn't do this on the PowerBook which is what is strange. I've reset pram, done everything, just did an erase and install and it still does it. It has to be something else, any suggestions? Thanks!
