I couldn't get to the paste, as it required a special screwdriver. But I pretty much know it needs to go to apple now. I will fight tooth and nail to get that recall repair done for free, as I have done nothing but take care of that Macbook Pro, probably why it took almost 4 years for the problem to surface. I will do a clean install of mavericks on the mac before I take it in. Don't want them snooping through my files and trying to blame the problem on something I've installed.Wish me luck.</blockquote>
