macbook pro (13-inch, Mid 2009) Upgrades?

currently running 2gb of ram and 160gb hdd. $200 limit. was thinking 8gb ram and 256gb mx100 ssd from crucial. any other opinions on set-up that would be better? again $200 limit

8gig of ram is the max. for this computer…and will cost about $100. So if you have a $200 limit…this leaves you $100 for the storage upgrade.

Amazon sells the same Crucial modules for $71.00 plus free shipping. When I installed additional memory in my iMac, I priced both the Crucial modules and the ones from OWC. OWC was the most expensive, Crucial a bit less expensive, and Amazon had the best price for the same Crucial modules plus free shipping.

The approx. $100 I mentioned above for 8gig of ram was from OWC. If you can get it for $71 from Amazon (as chscag mentioned)…definitely go for it!!!:) Can't beat the free shipping as well!!!:):)
