Hi Folks,

Recently my MBP has been giving me minor Bluetooth issues. I use Trekz Titanium headphones with it. Lately the BT connection does not survive a shutdown. I'll go to watch a YouTube vid and turn on the Trekz, but they won't connect. I can see them in the BT settings and right-click and choose Connect, but then the wheel just spins and they won't connect. If I reboot, I can then choose Connect and they will connect. My MBP reboots very quickly, so rebooting is not a huge deal, but it's still a bit of a pain if I just want to watch a quick vid and have to shut everything down and reboot.

This issue just stated about a month ago. I'm running the current OS with all updates.

Anyone else seeing this issue?

BT problems can sometimes be caused by interference from other devices. How about any other BT devices that you may have? Any difficulty with them? Are you able to use the headphones with your other Apple devices?

Also, non-BT devices use the same frequency bands as BT, so any new or moved wireless device, like a wireless phone, can interfere with BT signals. Has anything changed recently?

The interference can also come from close neighbors, like in an apartment building, or a townhouse.

Thanks, folks. Nothing has changed as far as new BT/wireless devices. I'm beginning to suspect that when the headphone battery starts to get low, it affects the BT connection. Even well before the headphone starts warning me about a low battery. I charged the headphone and last night it worked fine. None of the non-connect issues. Although that still wouldn't explain why it will connect after a reboot even if the battery on the headphone is low. Hmm.
