Yeah I've got no Idea why but my Macbook stopped detecting and updating my iPhone when I plug it in. I did have it plugged into the wall socket for a week (taking it out for the day but no computer for the week) and this is the only thing I can think of. Any Ideas?

Try rebooting the Mac- it worked for me last time this happened.

That sounds pretty strange to me. My MBP detects my iPhone IMMEDIATELY. After trying a reboot (the first ultimate troubleshoot for nearly any problem) Examine your connectors and make sure they are in good shape free of dust and debree and check out your USB ports and make sure they are clean and in good shape also. Also make sure both ends are firmly and correctly plugged in. (All pretty obvious stuff but it's all I can think of) Aside from that I have no other advice.
