Macbook keyboard not working? (Trackpad and power button fine)

Hi everyone,

I have a Macbook (12 inch early 2015) running El Capitan 10.11.6.

Recently the keyboard has stopped working, however it remains backlit and the trackpad functions fine, as does the power button?

Any guidance would be fantastic!

Have to ask.... any spills, drops, accidents, etc? Second question: If your MacBook is still covered by Apple Care and there have been no spills, etc, have you contacted Apple about it or made an appointment at the genius bar?
