OK! so the charger for my macbook died the other day, got VERY hot stopped working and instead made a weird noise when plugged in, i brought a new charger and plugged it in this morning but its not doing anything. The light on the charger doesn't light up and the LED's on the back of the mac still say absolutely dead battery no charge whatsoever.

i cant test the mac/charger on another mac as i dont have one. any ideas?

i'm wondering if i've somehow broken something inside my mac which stops it from charging or working? i've tried taking the battery out and plugging it in to mains to see if that works but nothing...

I suspect the power port on your macbook or the actual circuit behind it you should probably take it to an Apple Store. Did you look in the end of the port for any trash
and does it look ok no scorching or coloring. Also you did not state a model or year.
