Hi all!

I have a MacBook pro running on Big Sur and I just got the message "You need to restart your computer. Hold down the power button for several seconds or press the Restart Button."

My MacBook has been working fine for a long time and I don't know what could be causing this issue. Any suggestions?

It sounds like you are experiencing what is known as a kernel panic. Since your Mac has been running well for quite a while, I wouldn't be too concerned. If it happens again soon, you can post the log file, and perhaps our members can help you decipher it.
