MacBook Air will not install nor uninstall anything

I have run diagnostics and all reports ok. There is over 2GB of memory, I have tried AppCleaner Nothing is working. Anyone else experience this?

Could you please be more specific with what you mean by "not installing or uninstalling anything?" Are you able to add and delete programs from your Applications folder?

Also are you using an administrator account when trying to install/uninstall software? You cannot install/uninstall anything from either a Standard or Guest account.

???? Weird is this the model with the updated firmware for the flash drive.

Apple has provided a firmware update for the macbook air drives as several can corrupt and become damaged.

Have you tried the firmware fix for the macbook air it's in apples support section at apple.com.
