I have an aging 13" Macbook Pro and I am ready to upgrade. Need help deciding between an Air or a new Pro.

FACTORS:
- Portability is a factor but not a huge deal; I carry my Pro around a lot and it's not too cumbersome.
- I do game some, but not lots, and mostly web-based games
- I often have 75,000 chrome tabs open simultaneously, so processing power is a plus
- I will have an external harddrive so storage is important but not critical

In my opinion the MacBook Air's are dated. Get a current retina MacBook Pro.:)

I agree with Nick. I see absolutely no advantage in buying a MacBook Air over a MacBook Pro right now. Perhaps later on if rumors are true about a newly designed 12" MacBook Air from Apple, I might change my mind.
