Hi all, I'm looking to buy a 13.3' MacBook Air - my first Apple laptop! I'm going to be using it primarily to surf the net, work (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and stream movies / TV (Netflix etc). I am trying to decide between 2 models - the slightly older MacBook Air from JL at £699 which includes their 3-year warranty, or purchasing the newer model for £780 including AppleCare for about £50 (I have Uni discount). My question is that is the newer model worth paying an additional £30 (main difference seems to be the processor, the weight and specs are otherwise similar). Also how does AppleCare compare vs John Lewis' warranty?

Any help appreciated!
