Hey so I have been having some trouble with my battery life on my 2020 MacBook Air and I ran diagnostics, and reset SMC, VRAM, etc and i still have the problem. I have an appointment with the genius bar and I was wondering if it was a case where I would need a replacement, would i be provided like a same retina max or an M1? (p.s my mac still has the limited warranty so)

If Apple decides to replace your 2020 MBA under the warranty, they will replace it with the same model not an M1.

I would also mention that if this 2020 MacBook Air truly has issues...and they can be repaired...Apple will almost always attempt to do a repair before replacing it. And generally in our experience...Apple usually try's to repair things 2-3 times before a replacement unit is a possibility.
I would not expect a replacement unit on the very first visit to the Genius Bar.
