Hello everyone,

I have searched around quite a bit, but I cannot find any info about my specific issue. I have a MacBook 4,1. It had been going strong since I purchased it, but within the last month, there is a strange flickering issue.

Whenever I re-open the lid while it is sleeping, the screen flashes from light to dark. It seemed like f.lux could be buggy, so I deleted and re-installed it...didn't help. I have to restart the computer nearly every time I open the lid. This fixes the issue until I put it back to sleep.

Here is a video:

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would like to keep/fix the computer, but the issue is constantly occurring. **Other notes: I recently upgraded the RAM and installed a SSD through MacSales.com. I asked them if these components could cause this issue, but they did not think so.**

Thanks!

Could be a bad video cable. Especially since it occurs with the mechanical movement of the lid/display.
