Hello all!

At the moment, I'm working at a company as a Graphic Design intern. We have 2 iMacs, and 1 Apple G3, and a Apple Pro. The G3 and the Apple Pro have 'Hyundai' monitors.

My problem is, whenever I'm working in inDesign Photoshop Illustrator or whatever, I simply CAN'T see anything below 25% transparancy. It would just appear white. I've tried changing my screen resolution, but it just won't budge. I cant seem to get it right.

Is this really a hardware related thing? Should I go and beg the boss for a new screen?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, you should beg the boss for a new screen, BUT before you do that go into System Preferences -> Universal Access -> Seeing and make sure the "contrast" slider is all the way to the left (Normal).

You can also try re-calibrating the monitor under the "Display" system preference (Advanced) and see if that gets you a better image.
