Seriously, looks like you have it maxed out. I have a 2009/2010 MP and the only thing I can see different that I have upgraded and I don't see listed is bluetooth. I upgraded mine so I could have airdrop which has proven to be invaluable when moving pictures from my iphone to my MP.

Unfortunately, our silver warriors are facing extinction. This next OS X version (Catalina) will take some fancy tap dancing if you want to use it. And even holding onto what currently works without changing OS X code means eventually no security updates.

I love my MP and I plan to do all I can to keep her (yes, all my computers are girls!) as relevant usable as long as possible.

I see you have four 2 terabyte hard drives installed. If it were me...I would install at least one SSD...and make it your boot drive. Many process's should speed up significantly (boot time, application opening, file saving, file transfers, etc.).:)

hi Lisa thanks for the reply

I was just thinking maybe a GPU upgrade but as I don't run windows of any form on it which may be an option in the future

its more than capable from what you have said ?

and hi nick thanks for the reply I have got an NVME to boot the machine which happens in about 3 seconds for me,

so my mechanical drives are just storage,

so thanks for the suggestion

Good deal. I'm assuming you have a PCI NVMe card installed. If so...don't see too many of those in the Apple World. Lol

When I saw you had 4 HD's installed...I must have missed the NVMe card.;)

Seems to me you got your Mac Pro upgraded about as far as it will go. Maybe some day when you put it up for sale on eBay...I'll bid on it!;)

and yeah it happens trust me I had some issues getting it to the CPU's it is today as it uses delidded CPU's but

had them delidded properly as they are soldered by default

and the NVME speeds its boot and program start massively it even handles 4k like a dream

I currently have a Nvidia GTX780 6GB card in mine. I use to run a GTX1080 8GB but the lack of driver updates when Mojave came out was a bummer.

I am a video/graphic designer - basically Adobe CC user so I will put my girl through her paces, especially when creating with After Effects. I have Windows 10 running on it using Parallels. It works great but if you plan to game using it I would recommend going with Boot Camp.

I do boot off a 1TB SSD and I have 64GB of memory installed. It handles everything I throw at it with no problems.
