Mac OS X Tiger install freezing! FIXED
Hi everyone, I just purchased a very decent G4 and booted it up. The system ran smooth very smooth. I opened the case, removed the 320GB SATA HDD, 80 GB IDE HDD and a SCSI card that was not being used. I installed a 500 GB SATA HDD with the same SATA to IDE adapter that was already in place. Upon boot up I used Disk Utility to reformat to Mac Extended Journaled and proceed to attempt to install Tiger. The installation goes very smooth until the Optimizing System Performance stage where it freezes. I tried again, with the same result, then reformatted to Mac Extended and tried again with the same result. If anyone can help me soon it would be appreciated! My AIM sn is O3Edge4x4 if anyone would want to try different solutions on the spot. Thanks in advance!

EDIT:
After searching and searching for troubleshooting information, I found it was suggested on a regular basis to remove non-Apple RAM. After doing so the Optimizing System Performance step flew by and my install is now complete. Thanks for at least attempting to help rman.
