where can i get custom themes for my mbp? and how can i change the little icons at the top (like the battery, adium, bluetooh,etc) to color?

ive had my mbp for about 3-4 months now and im about ready to customize it

no It's $20 but its way worth the price. you could always download it and use the free trial and go from there. I believe the free trial is 2 weeks.

Try searching before starting a new thread, there are quite a few threads on this topic, I hope you find this helpful.

Shapeshifter changes your windows and menu bar. overall look of finder.

Cleardock alows you to customize the look of the dock background i.e make it clear w/o the border. but you can also give it color and change the color of the 'application is open' arrows.

Candybar allows you to change system, application, and volume icons. When you are seeing different icons in the dock that is generaly what is being used.

example of my system icons, also the pink tiger theme (applied with shapeshifter)::

Wow that's not for me, but I do appreciate the creativity and work involved in makeing a theme. It is sooooo much work.

thanks for the help, i knew of programs like shapshifter and candybar, but i was wondering if there was anything out there that i could use where i didnt need to download(buy) a program.


i got a question about shapeshifter thou, can i create my own themes?

you can create your own themes using a program called themepark

it is complicated. quite.

ok, ive downloaded and bought shapeshifter, but none of the themes carry over to any other applications, are there any programs or themes that i can get that will be applied to all applications that i open?

Shapeshifter should theme your entire interface, if the theme you've selected supports it...

Sometimes the differences are subtle though.

no i havent let me try that

EDIT: i restarted after i applied the theme and it worked on all applications, thank you guys
