Does anyone know of a utility that would work in macOS 15.x Sequoia that would allow the display monitor resolution to be changed quickly and easily from the menu bar?

So far my web searching and Googling has produced no results, nor any suggestions or solutions.

For those curious, I have a project that I will be working on over the next few days that needs my display resolution changed to work on the forms, but I won't be working on them all the time so I'm looking for a quick way to change display resolution when I do work on them and or finish and want to go back to normalm viewing resolution.

I'm rather surprised I couldn't find anything when doing a search on the 'net, as I thought it would be quite a useful feature for many to use. They're certainly doesn't seem to be anything built in with any system settings options to do anything similar.

The only option I can think of using otherwise is to minimise the Displays System Settings into my Dock. At least that's faster than going through all the system settings to get to the displays window. 😊 But I would prefer to have an option available from the menu bar.

Thanks Ashwin, and I can't believe I never thought of that myself, as I used to use it with some of our Macs many years ago. I'll have to see if the version I have still works if I can find it.

You can put the "Display" in the Menu bar, but I don't think it will be any easier than having Settings minimized in the Dock.

To put your "display" in the Menu bar, got to Settings -> Control Center -> Display, "Always Show In Menu Bar. From there you can select Open Display Settings and you will be at the same as having it in the Dock already open.

To put your "display" in the Menu bar,

Thanks very much for your suggested help Bob, I sure wouldn't have thought of looking been any other settings other than displays, but then again I'm not an apple developer programmer either.
I know scratch my head and wonder why the Apple developers would have provided a provision to have access to the displays settings and not include at least to the abbreviated resolution massages in a drop-down menu or similar. Now of course it takes three or four extra clicks to do what could be so easy but that seems to be the path Apple has been taking over the last few years.

Anyway at least a sort of option is there but I would have never found without such a suggestion.

I also tried SwitchresX after downloading an updated version but it doesn't seem to want to work properly or allow any registration for our old version so I had to email the developer has to how to get it working and I'm not even sure at this point if it even has an option to stay or change resolutions from the menu bar. I guess I'll have to wait for his answer.

Why do such simple things always seems to have all kinds of complications associated with them these days? I guess my handicaps don't help either. 😊

At least for now, the quickest and easiest way to keep access to the display resolutions is just to minimise the Displays system settings pane window to my Dock, at least while I happened to be working on this particular project.

Thank you to all those Who provided some help and suggestions, it is very much appreciated, and I still have a lot to learn about this much newer macOS version that has SwitchResX quite an experience from my jump from Mac OS X 10.11.6 El Capitan.

EDIT:
Hopefully with SwitchResX installed and working properly I can end up with a menu bar drop down resolution options as I found at another website:

It's unfortunate that Apple's programmers couldn't provide such a simple similar option.

Patrick, if you click on Advanced at the bottom of the Displays Settings page, you get the option to display the resolution list you are looking for. After you make that change and go back to the Display Settings page, you will have another option to Show All Resolutions.

Thanks Bob, but I have those settings already set if I am understanding your instructions correctly but what I am wanting is to have the various resolutions show as a drop-down list directly from the Displays icon in the menu bar as in the example attachment I included in my message #5 above. I do not get that using the macOS menu bar Displays option.
This is what I get, and no drop-down resolution list:

I guess I'll have to wait for a reply from SwitchResX developer to get my coffee working properly which apparently has such an options the way I want. But thanks again for your suggestion. 😊

Better Display has both a free version and a commercial "Pro" version with with advanced features. It works via a dropdown from your menu bar.

Thanks for the help and suggestion Randy and I will give it a try and see if it will suit my needs.

I'm currently trying an updated version of SwitchResX but I cannot find our registration we had a few years ago and hopefully the developer has kept a record but the software is pretty much overkill for my small needs but also does what I want and need.

I'll try your software suggestion and hope that it is not a 32-bit application like some of your recent suggestions turned out to be, that I cannot use in my macOS 15.x Sequoia running iMac. 😊

It sounds promising from its description for the feature I want.
... and gives you a host of other features to manage your display's settings like display and color mode easily from the menu bar.
