Although no one has acknowledged my issue as of yet, I did some additional digging and found some things that I feel are very interesting. - As it pertains to Private Messaging, the issue for me is not very "cut and dry". I am able to send myself very short PM's, but anything longer than a few sentences worth seems to result in the errors I previously described. I -AM- able to send PM's, they just need to be very short. - Notifications for new PM's (the email I receive) are basically a mess. They are not formatted but are raw XML type text. Pretty much completely worthless and unreadable. Notifications of new posts seem ok. - There is a MAJOR PROBLEM with the functionality of this site. Whatever hosting provider currently is serving up the content has some sort of rate-limiting / security type device sitting in front of the site and dropping connections if various patterns of traffic or thresholds are being crossed. I can get complete blackout to the site on one computer and have full access on another at the same time. It seems that there's some sort of logic that's blocking the IP Address. This may well be what folks have been running into and believing they were fixing by clearing their browser cache. This is a major functional issue that needs to be understood and corrected right away more users are going to be lost. For me, the way that this entire process has been handled to this point has turned me off to being a community member here. And that stinks because there used to be a lot of really smart and helpful folks here that I learned a lot from. That sort of spirit has absolutely dwindled in the last six months and I don't see any sign of it getting back on track. For now, I'm out. Maybe one day I'll be back, if whomever is now overseeing this site at the highest level can steer it back out of the shallow waters before it completely runs aground.
