Message: <blockquote data-quote="dtravis7" data-source="post: 1319913" data-attributes="member: 8287">Ok, you are holding down the C key and booting off the OSX DVD correct?  If so, when you get to the installer, look up top for the Utilities menu.  Click and when it drops down, click on Disk Utility.  See if the drive shows up.  If so, click on the Partition Tab.  Click on where it says Current and select One Partition.  Make sure the type is Mac OSX Extended Journalized.  Then click on Options and select GUID Partition.  Then click on  Apply and it will make the partition and format the drive.When it's finished, Quit Disk Utility and it will take you back to the installer. You might have to Reboot but then the drive should show up.If the new drive does NOT show up in the Disk Utility, let us know and we will try and help farther.</blockquote>
