Yesterday my mail started acting strangely; first the incoming mail couldn't be read (it had one line that said something like "you need to go online")...
The next thing that happened all my folders changed and my bookmarks disappeared. Today I restarted and practically everything changed (view setting for folders) and everything on my dock was gone except finder...
I restored using backup (settings and stuff) and I have the dock back etc. I verified and repaired permissions (Disk Warrior)...
HOWEVER, .Mac is reading as "never synchronized" and when I try and syn it just sits there with the status bar running..... but nothing happens. AND OH, I have two .dmg files on my desktop now that read "previous local iDisk."
I would really like some input before I do a wipe and a clean install of OS X...
EDIT: Never mind... I did a clean install and it's going back in the box. Just ordered a Macbook Pro...
