mabook not booting

hi. i need some urgent help. i have a macbook 2007 version. problem am having is that my harddrive crashed. i bought a new hardrive but its in ntfs format. i used macdrive to convert it to mac harddrive but now i cant get my mac to see the harddrive... also i made a bootable cd and and usb but whenever i press option to boot i dont get any option.... also if i dont press option it gives me a folder with a question mark. can i please get some advice

What happened to your original install - recovery DVD that came with your 2007 MacBook? That's what you need to boot the machine with, not a homemade CD or USB flash drive that's not working. Your original install DVD can also be used to properly partition and format the replacement hard drive you bought. The folder with the ? means the system can not find a drive to boot from.

I dont have the original dvd nor do I ave any access to one hence I downloaded a mac image os. Wat are my
other options of getting my macbook up and running

You need to purchase a legal copy of an OS X DVD from Apple. There is no reason to download an illegal copy when you can buy a legal Snow Leopard DVD from Apple for $19.95. Once you purchase the DVD, you can boot with it and format the new hard drive for installation of OS X. When you do that, come back for help. In the meantime, we can't provide any help and will close this thread.
