• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.

Hi people. Just bought EyeTV Hybrid and very happy. BUT I seem to have lost my program list, that list that enables you to edit out commercials. How am I able to re-add the now missing files? Notice that they haven't really gone, they are still the same place as before - they just don't show up in EyeTV anymore.

Until that issue is resolved: Do we have any decent MP4 editors? I mean, with no encoding and such (those things take forever). I remember a TS-cutter for the PC which worked allright, but I simply can't find anything just as good. Can that really be? '

Thanks in advance :)

Maybe no-one has an answer. I use EyeTV. I know how to edit a recording manually, but have not come across a feature that automatically removes commercials.

My Program List shows all the available TV channels. Do you mean that you've lost programs that you've recorded?

Well, they could be gone then. Have a look in Home Folder>Movies>EyeTV folder(can't remember it's exact name, and not at a Mac at the moment). They might be there.
