I am looking for a mac LapTop. Nothing above 500 so prob refurbished. Could anyone give me some good sites to look at that you trust?

You won't find a new intel refurb that low. You may want to take a chance with a used iBook or something similar, unless you can up your budget closer to $1000.

You want a laptop, right? No such thing as a G5 laptop.

So you want a G4 - that means Powerbook or iBook - non-Intel so you can't run Windows. Only thing is, they are difficult to find in new/refurb condition. There may be a few places out there but your best bet is used.

With a budget max of $500 you'll be lucky if you can grab a late model Powerbook, so you should probably look at iBooks. There's at least one on my local craigslist every day and most people are aware they aren't worth anything anymore and are selling them for $350-ish, etc.

There are probably a couple of folks on this board who would sell you a used PB or iBook though.

Thanks for you help! i went to craigslist.org and found a dude that was selling a iBook for 400. Its not a bad one either. 60 gig HD and 750 ram so its pretty fast. thanks!
