How about free? Use Preview which you already have on your Mac.

If you do a lot of editing, the only solution is PDFpen but it does cost $60.00. It is the best.

Also, just to be clear -- PDFs aren't meant to be edited. That's kind of their whole deal. You can do some minor tweaks in some programs, but the entire purpose of a PDF is that it is a format where the content looks exactly the same on all platforms, and can't be edited.
If you need to do substantive editing of a document, you must first convert it to a Word file. Oh that will be fun.
