Any specs

Screen size, doesnt matter, hardrive doesnt matter, I have a firewie glyph drive.

features, doesnt really matter like carrying case or type of drives...

I am going to be using it for recording only, (studio)

So something with lots of ram, and a fast processor, i just only have about 1,000 dollars to work with is the problem.

I have used an " ibook " it runs fine till i get beyond 24 tracks, then i used my friends powerbook and i had about 154 tracks going with no issues.

both had the same amount of ram, it was just G3 vs. G4 I think.

The programs i use keep track of CPU use percentage as well, so that was another issue with the ibook.
