Looking for a projector for movies :)

ive been searching around on ebay and looking for used / refurb projectors... i would love to have a projector for big screen movies but i can't afford the going price of $800+ for a projector (college kid...ya know lol)

so if anyone out there has a projector they would part with...in good condition... shoot me an email [email protected] please, with the specs, maybe pics? and a price you're looking for.

oh...i dont know much about them, but if it helps im looking for 700+ Lumens

thanks :)

You are going to have one helluva time trying to find one cheap, my friend. I have been searching for the same thing but they are VERY expensive as you know!

The only way you could get one cheap is if it were "hot" - and I don't recommend that!

How much r u guys willing to spend.. I have an older one.. its kinda big and heavy so shipping could be expensive.. I believe its a sony.. but could be a sharp...

Email me at Francis.Antao AT mu.edu... Maybe we can work something out..

LOL - even an infocus x1 is $1000 before shipping and taxes....

Now used is a diffn't story - but ya never know.

Actually for the majority of last year it was $899 after MIR everywhere, haven't checked the prices on it recently though. It was at the time considered the best bargain in home theater projectors. A DLP front projector system for under $900 is hard to beat. Which is why i suggested he SAVE UP A BIT and get a good projector, because in his price range he isn't going to get much of anything.

IF you wait long enough, you will find one on ebay. I found mine on ebay for $160 plus 20 for shipping, it is older, like 10 years old, but works perfect for exactly what i am doing. it is a struggle to find one i know, but if you keep looking, you may find one. Mine was a sharp that a university did not want anymore and i know i took a chance on a used one from somewhere like that, but it has worked like a charm for me..

good luck!
