lexmark 1400 wireless printing

have Lenksys router and pc laptop and mac on the network.trying to add printer to the network and connection always fails.When I installed the router the setup had to be from the pc and then the mac would work like magic.

Can anyone advise I have tried setting up the printer from laptop just like the router but still does not work. I do not have airport on my machine is this the problem ?.

The printer works fine if I use usb cable on both the Mac and pc laptop.
