I have iMac late 2013 and for some reason it showing flashing question-mark and folder symbol.
I researched and tried out some solution to go for cmd+R options, then it showing different options but disk utility section only have disk0 which I cannot repair or erase.
when I tried to reinstall OS that time no disk shows up for selection.

A warm welcome to Mac-Forums.

I'm sorry to say that it looks very likely that the Mac's drive is dead.

The original flashing "?" indicated that there was no OS available and/or that the Drive was defunct.

The fact that you cannot repair it, erase it, nor reinstall a new OS to it, marks its death knell I'm afraid.:(

I have the same as the original poster.
I tried installing LinuxMint21 via usb, but it complained that there was not enough room on the disk for that.
So I put a DVD in the machine with GParted to see what partitions are there that I can erase, but that in turn gave an error of a different sort - something like 'no screen found', and did not start up GParted fully.
Now the question.. how do I eject the DVD? (I'm not used to work with mac at all..)
EDIT: inserted usb again and rebooted Linux - opened terminal and simply typed 'eject'.
As a last resort perhaps I'll try PuppyLinux or something like that.
