My Dec 2011 MBP was running incredibly slow, so the genius bar did a clean wipe and reinstall of 10.7.5.

Everything is running faster now, but I can no longer utilize command shortcuts (copy/paste command v/c, or command+shift+4 for screenshots).

It seems like my clipboard abilities are completely gone, making it very difficult to work.

I've tried restarting, running disk utility repairs, everything keeps saying it's fine. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

First and foremost, welcome to the forum.

Secondly, can a Moderator, please change the Title too, OS X not > iOS as this is to do with a Mac. Cheers. . .

Now, to you the OP, it seems like for some reason the KB Shortcuts, where disabled when they did a fresh install. You can re-eanable them in System Preferences.
Click the little  top left and then System Preferences. Now click on Keyboard in that window 'Shortcuts'. . .
You are now going to have to go through all of them individually and re-enable them 1 by 1 or the ones you want under the various headings. I know its a pain in the .... without them, so take the time and spend a little time and do it right once :)

Im looking for a way to enable them all through Terminal (if there is a way) and ill post that if I do find it.

HTH

Cheers

Thank you for your reply.
I went into the Keyboard Shortcuts, and it looks like all of the shortcuts are already checked an enabled.

When I try to double click and apply a new short cut, it does not let me.

I still cannot get the computer to recognize any shortcuts from copy/paste to search text, etc.
