Key sounds weirding out / missing

Weirdo problem, couldn't google or find topic here:

My MacBook (2-3 months old white totally standard) sort of fell, or tumbled down, and after that happened, the warning sound is missing when you don't have a cd in the drive but press EJECT anyway.

This is really and truly weird.. anybody have any idea??? EVERY other sound works normally LoL

The sound over the speakers or the sound of the actual drive?

Mine doesn't make a sound over the speakers, it just whirrs the drive mechanism.
