Hi all,

I am testing an application and want to try it out with a .pages document. Does anyone out there have one that they can post as an attachment? It could be a blank document, as I just need a file to test with.

Thanks in advance!

No one is going to upload a test document for you. If you have a newer Mac, Pages, Numbers, and Keynote are free to download from Apple. But since you never mentioned which Mac you have or what version of OS X you're using..... ??

I'm simply looking for a .pages document so I can attempt to upload it on an application to see if I get an error...not using a Mac myself..just wanting to test for an error message.

Thanks though.

What a strange and confusing message. If you're not loading a .pages document into pages ... you're going to get an error. If you're on Windows, the only way you can open a .pages document (that is to say a document that has not been saved in .doc or .rtf or .pdf or .txt) is through the web version of iCloud, which requires an iCloud membership.

Please let us know if we can alleviate any further confusion.

I'm a developer also am testing a proprietary application and need a .pages document to see if the application will successfully upload it if anyone would be so kind as to share one or point me to one, thanks

Here is a page with free Pages templates. Download any one of them for free and you can use it as a test file:

Pages files can be opened on a Windows computer using:

File Viewer Lite (free)

A good sensible choice I would say... ;)

No further comment...

I actually had a bunch of fairly strong comments about Chas_m's post, posted them and only then noticed that the post was from 2015.
This forum doesn't seem to have an edit function to just delete a post the way I see on other forums, at least I didn't see that option.

I think they might leave Chas_m's posts archived as an example as to what can happen to a member when they become too pushy and full of themselves and super obnoxious. I had to deal with the guy on an almost personal basis at our local VMUG group, and I think I deserved a medal for doing so... ;)
He was one of the main reasons for so many good helpful Mac members leaving the group several years ago...
