So I just on Monday started using VoIP instead of a normal phone line. I went with Vonage and have been very impressed so far. Sound quality is excellent, even when downloading or uploading huge files and watching Quicktime streams (like the WWDC Keynote
).
That was the biggest thing I was afraid of was the bandwidth issues. And secondly was the configuration of the phone adaptor messing up my network, but I just plugged it in and it works.
I'm in love with all the features the VoIP providers have like online call tracking and voicemail, free unlimited long distance, e-mailing you when you get voicemail (and send an attachment too). There's alot, most of which I haven't even used yet. All for cheaper than a regular phone line.
Anyone else use VoIP? What do you guys think?
Oh and if anyone wants to give Vonage a try, let me know and I can get your second month free.
