Hello everybody, just made the switch by buying a g4 imac 1ghz. It's used but it's works perfectly. Couldn't ask for a better experience with switching from windows. I know it's not exactly a top of the line mac but it's fast enough for me. Really excited about it!
Anyways, to get to my question. The only thing wrong with it is very small and dosen't really bother me. There is this slight discoloration at the top right corner of my screen. The only thing that worries me is that I'm afraid it might get bigger. Does anybody else have anything similar on their screen and will I have to worry about getting it fixed anytime soon? Or should I just stop focusing on a tiny thing like that and enjoy my computer?
I've included a photo of it. Sorry about the quality. It was taken with my phone.

Keep an eye on it and see if it gets any bigger. I can't offer much more information as I have never seen that before.

I think I figured something out. I dimmed my screen a little and put up a darker background. Hasn't done it since. Maybe it was overheating in that corner?

What you're seeing may be caused by magnetism. Sometimes if you place a speaker close to the display and the speaker enclosure is not efficient, it will cause discoloring on the screen. (Speakers contain magnets.)

You might be able to clear the discoloration by using a degaussing tool.

Regards.
