I recently did a hardcore clean-up on my mac mini (os 10.4) getting rid of un-needed languages and such to free up some hard disk space. In turn, my Pages from iWork 05 doesn't load anymore. The icon in my dock just bounces up and down but nothing happens :[ I even uninstalled and then reinstalled to no avail. During my clean-up I must have trashed something the app needed, but I have NO IDEA what. Hopefully someone can help me a.s.a.p.
Thanks so much

Getting rid of unwanted languages or code can cause problems with applications and other functions. If you have no backup to rely on, the best advice I can give you is to reinstall Tiger and then iWork 05. Make sure you backup first.

Where are your original Tiger disks that came with your machine? That's what you need to reinstall OS X and applications.

I found them (2 discs), do I just install without uninstalling the previous?

No need to uninstall, just boot from your OS disk and choose install without erasing disk. This will leave your APPs and files untouched.
However, it's always a good idea to have a backup of your files first.

Ok, so now I reinstalled my Tiger and did all the system updates... guess what? Pages works fine but now iPhoto and iMovie don't work! Same thing, I click on the icon in the dock, it bounces around, but nothing! Grrr, now what?

iPhoto and iMovie are probably on your second disk.

Thanks, I did install both discs initially. I had to re-install the iLife disk. Thank God I had all of the discs on hand... (my printer, the iLife and the Mac OS X)! Thanks SO much for the help, everything is up and running now and I am very excited to discover iWeb! I didn't even know I had that!
Thanks again!
