I'm in the fortunate position of having a new iPhone 6 today and am trying to set it up as a clone of my old 5S. This worked fine via iTunes (creating the new phone from a backup of the old phone) but no music was loaded to the new phone. I presume this is due to having iTunes Match active on my phone?

Currently I am attempting to download my music library (1000 albums) one artist at a time over the air, but this seems very time consuming and resource intensive.

Is there a way to bulk load all the music from my iTunes library on my Mac Mini into my new phone? Is it just a case of temporarily turning iTunes Match off on the phone and doing a sync the old fashioned way? The blurb for iTunes Match implies that it will delete the local music when it is turned back on.

Sorted the problem overnight. The phone was struggling with attempting to download 2000 tracks so I had to reset the phone then it turned off iTunes Match and sync'ed the phone the old fashioned way. Now I have Match turned back on and it seems happy.
