I'm in the fortunate position of having a new iPhone 6 today and am trying to set it up as a clone of my old 5S. This worked fine via iTunes (creating the new phone from a backup of the old phone) but no music was loaded to the new phone. I presume this is due to having iTunes Match active on my phone?
Currently I am attempting to download my music library (1000 albums) one artist at a time over the air, but this seems very time consuming and resource intensive.
Is there a way to bulk load all the music from my iTunes library on my Mac Mini into my new phone? Is it just a case of temporarily turning iTunes Match off on the phone and doing a sync the old fashioned way? The blurb for iTunes Match implies that it will delete the local music when it is turned back on.
