If my songs are added into my iTunes library, can i delete the folder that the songs were previously in. Like if i had a folder on my desktop and i added the songs into iTunes, could the desktop folder be deleted since the songs are supposed to be in the iTunes library.

20" iMac C2D 2.16ghz, 13" MacBook 2.0ghz, 60gb iPod vid, 1gb nano
Check in preferences -> advanced to see if it says copy music to itunes library when adding them

If that is checked then you can get rid of the original folder
