Can be downloaded from the Apple website now! Not available on software update just yet. It adds support for videos, which seems quite cool at first but it doesn't do it very well and doesn't appear to support very many file formats. Oh well, better luck next time Apple.

What do I do if I already have itunes? when I try to download from site it wants to completely re-install it and will take up a bunch of space on my hard drive. Is that the only way or is there a way just to do update it?

Installing iTunes 4.8 will replace the older version, yet still retaining all your setting and music files. Installing iTunes 4.8 will not take up anymore space than the previous one did.

The video part of iTunes, naybe for music videos. Which could be 3 to 10 minutes on the average.

I believe what SJ meant was no movies on the iPod.

I could definitely seeing sitcoms etc being shown on a video iPod.. or state of the union or local government etc addresses.. I could definitely see there being a use for them, but just not sure on the demand.. thus the reason why Apple has not done it yet. If/when they do though, they'll make a market for them.. weird how they can always do that.
